The Danone World Cup

The Danoner World Cup is considered to be a genuine global soccer tournament among Danone Group employees. The French Advertisers’ Association (Union des Annonceurs) even recognized this initiative with a Golden Phoenix Award in 1998.

The competition is held in several stages and geographic locations:

National finals take place in each of the 62 countries where Danone operates.

An international gathering of all the finalists (1,000 players) is then held to crown the champions.

There are three types of teams: men, women, and co-ed.

In 2010, the event took on a new name: the Danoners World Cup.

The international finals are held every 2 years across the globe (1998 in Paris, 2000 in Evian, 2002 in Madrid, 2004 in Marbella, 2006 in Lisbon, 2008 in Miami, 2010 in Athens and 2012 in Tokyo).

Quarterback is the official agency assigned to handle all organizational aspects of this event including:

- Internal Communications

- Overall Event Management (sites, competitions, logistics)
